The mental load in separated families

چکیده
Objective: This paper asks how evolving contact and gendered working lives, identities, conflict parental relationships influence cognitive labour in separated families.
Background: The fact that the often-invisible work of planning, researching, executing decisions concerning children household maintenance is borne by women/mothers, receives growing research attention, yet, bulk this focuses on division mental load intact families. Given high prevalence families with levels father contact, more needed to understand divided parents residing separate households.
Method: draws 31 semi-structured interviews parents, including 7 former couples. Interviews were sampled from a nationally representative longitudinal survey, Understanding Society, professionally transcribed thematically analysed Nvivo.
Results: Analysing reveals both continuity change following separation. For some families, identities lives continue justify an unequal load, even when spend large amounts time solely fathers. In others, can reduce communication between either increasing fathers through parallel parenting or decreasing it are excluded decision-making altogether. Finally, separation present turning point where re-evaluated, be negotiated anew.
Conclusion: We provide new evidence remains among those practicing relatively "modern" family form shared care post-separation, while highlighting possibilities for variation change.

Intersecting Families of Separated Sets
A set A ⊆ {1, 2, . . . , n} is said to be k-separated if, when considered on the circle, any two elements of A are separated by a gap of size at least k. We prove a conjecture due to Holroyd and Johnson [3],[4] that an analogue of the Erdős-Ko-Rado theorem holds for k-separated sets. In particular the result holds for the vertex-critical subgraph of the Kneser graph identified by Schrijver [7],...
متن کاملFamilies of locally separated Hamilton paths
We improve by an exponential factor the lower bound of Körner and Muzi for the cardinality of the largest family of Hamilton paths in a complete graph of n vertices in which the union of any two paths has degree 4. The improvement is through an explicit construction while the previous bound was obtained by a greedy algorithm. We solve a similar problem for permutations up to an exponential factor.

Background & objectives: One of the factors affecting the performance of video display terminal users is their mental work load. Since low sleep quality causes fault and decreased accuracy in work, this study aimed to evaluate the relationship between mental work load and sleep quality in video display terminals users. Methods: This descriptive cross-sectional study was performed on 191 video d...
متن کاملFamilies of Explicitly Isogenous Jacobians of Variable-separated Curves
We construct six infinite series of families of pairs of curves (X, Y ) of arbitrarily high genus, defined over number fields, together with an explicit isogeny JX → JY splitting multiplication by 2, 3, or 4. The families are derived from Cassou–Noguès and Couveignes’ explicit classification of pairs (f, g) of polynomials such that f(x1)− g(x2) is reducible.
متن کاملEvaluating the Medication Adherence from the Viewpoints of Patients with Mental Disorders and their Families
Background: Medication non-adherence is common among patients with mental disorders. It can lead to worsening symptoms, recurrence, re-hospitalization, decreased performance, and increased risk of death. This study aimed to evaluate the medication adherence from the viewpoints of family and patients with mental disorders. Materials and Methods: In this descriptive-analytical study, 102 patient...
